Gotcha Day!

Today we started our day out with Mr. Yeh at 9:30 am. The excitement of knowing we were finally going to get our baby girl was overwhelming. We both were filled with so much emotion.

We had a couple of tours scheduled on our way to go and get Brooke!
Our first stop was Martyr's Shrine in Tapei.

This is us standing in front of one of the guards. Every hour there is a big ceremony of the changing of the gaurds. It was very cool to watch!

Our next stop was to the Grand Hotel in Tapei. This is us with Mr. Yeh. He is wonderful!! We had a blast with him teaching us some Mandarin on our way to Taichung County to go and pick up Brooke.

When we finally arrived, the foster mom , Mrs. Liao, greeted us at the door. They warned us that Brooke was very shy and that it might take a while. To everyones surprise, she came to us without one wimper. She was a very happy camper. Of course she always new where Mrs. Liao was, but everyone was truly amazed.

Brooke was alseep when we got there, so she had to wake her up. This is our first meeting. Daddy is in the background video taping.

She's finally in my Arms!

Brooke loved her daddy immediately and went right to him. In this picture, we were talking with Mrs. Liao about Brookes schedule. She informed us that Brooke was a very good baby and that she sleeps from 10pm at night until 6am in the morning, has a bottle and goes back down until 10am.......I will believe it when I see it!!!!

This is a picture with Brookes foster mom, Mrs. Liao. We can tell that Brooke was treated very well.

Right after picking up Brooke from the foster moms house, we went to TWCA to sign papers and get the rest of Brookes things. Jon fed Brooke her first bottle while I got everything in order with Samantha who works for TWCA.
